Registration is now open for the FAWCO Region 5 Meeting in Berlin November 11–13, 2016, http://www.awcberlin.org/event/fawco-regional-meeting/.
Festivities will start with the “Charity Concert with Robin Goldsby” on Thursday and continue with pre-meeting tours on Friday. The meeting officially begins with a tour of the Allied Museum and Welcome Dinner on Friday evening. Taking place over the weekend at the Seehof Hotel on Lietzensee in Charlottenburg, the meeting will cover FAWCO business, club interchanges and development workshops, and a discussion panel on refugees titled Integration through Education.
Cost for full participation: 130 Euro for 2 days of meeting, lunches and coffee breaks, welcome dinner and meeting materials (does not include lodging and transport to/from dinner by shared taxis or public transportation). AWC Hamburg is proud to announce the first seminar of its expat series. Stuyvesant Wainwright IV, Esq. and RA Jan-Hendrik Frank, WF International Berlin, will highlight differences between US and German inheritance laws; German–American Treaty on Estates, Gifts and Inheritances; Estate Planning for German–American marriages including QDOTS; German-style wills vs. US-style wills; choice of laws; and need for Living Wills and Health Care Proxies. A Q&A session will follow the coffee break.

On 25th April 2016 7 of 8 Board members and 3 club members have been at the Open Board Meeting and discussed upcoming topics and events. We had meet in the conference room of the organization Deutsches Youth for Understanding e.V. (YFU), which supports international youth exchange programs.
Open Board Meetings are always open to all members and you may also vote there on the topics discussed. We’re alternating between evening and lunch meetings on a monthly basis. The next meeting will take place at 11am. Wait for the May invitation.
