Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Sunday, January 28, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. There will be a potluck, a silent auction to benefit the Target Project and lots of business, including the election of the new board and approval of the 2018 proposed budget. Tricia Saur, the FAWCO Target Program Chair will speak to the American Women’s Club on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 7:00–8:00 pm before the Open Board Meeting. She will speak to us about the project Hope Beyond Displacement that is a target of the FAWCO program Education: Empowering Women and Girls through Knowledge and Skills. This project is a sustainable investment by FAWCO member clubs to provide education and training for refugee women and girls in Jordan.

Our annual Holiday Party will take place at a historical venue in Hamburg on Tuesday, December 12. The reception will start at 6:00 pm and a three-course festive dinner will be served at 7.00 pm. AWCH will celebrate Thanksgiving once again with lots of great food, friends and cheer! AWCH will provide the turkeys and guests are asked to bring a potluck dish. Free for AWCH members and their families. Friends are welcome and the fee for non-members is €10. Please join us for some ghoulish fun and creepy-crawly treats on Monday, October 30th from 5-7pm at the U.S. Consulate of Hamburg. Activities include a haunted house, Halloween games, music and potluck snacks/ buffet. Attendance is free for members and their family.
