The Myth of Chanel
Many consider Coco Chanel (1883-1971) to be the greatest female fashion designer of the 20th century. The little black dress or the Chanel-suit and her scent “Chanel No. 5” are inextricably linked to her person. “The Myth of Chanel” considers the question why the person Coco Chanel and her brand continue to attract such great attention. Her biography and the image she created for herself are being looked at, as well as the ingenious way in which Karl Lagerfeld succeeds in linking this heritage with trends and the zeitgeist since 1983.

FAWCO is raffling off a handmade quilt to support the next FAWCO Target Program.
This year's FAWCO friendship quilt contains 4 squares from AWC Hamburg members, Susan and me, and 2 from my mom! The motto is Human Rights for Women and Children. The pattern is "Endless Stairs", which reminds us that we can never stop working for women’s rights and for positive change.
If you would like to take a chance and also help support the next FAWCO Target Program (which will be chosen this March at the conference in Brussels), please contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
