AWCH Pre-Loved Book Sale

A Fundraiser for MamaBaby Haiti

Join us for a delightful afternoon of browsing through stacks of books and sharing reading suggestions. Good quality, English-language books and DVDs (for adults & children) will be available for purchase by donation. Refreshments are provided.

Take this opportunity to stock up on new-to-you books and to visit with other AWCH members. The event takes place in a member’s home in Winterhude. It's an open house, so come when you can, go when you want. 

You may purchase books with cash or bank transfer. 

At 3:00 p.m., we will have a brief presentation about MamaBaby Haiti, including a Q&A with one of the board members. 

If you have good quailty books to donate ...

Please contact us as soon as possible to arrange delivery or pickup. We prefer that books are donated prior to the event, but it is possible to bring a small number of books directly on that day. 

Donations from this book sale will supplement the recent FAWCO Human Rights grant, which was awarded to MamaBaby Haiti to install solar panels on their newest birth center in Cap Haitien. This will allow the midwives and patients to maintain power to the clinic, despite the country's unpredictable power grid. At the book sale, we will give a short informational talk about MamaBaby Haiti and answer any questions you might have! You can learn more here: https://mamababyhaiti.org.
