St. Pauli is the old heart of the harbor area, and this month Harbor Explorers will visit one of its quieter back streets.

We‘ll meet for a delicious and inexpensive Ayurvedan lunch in a colorful little locale.

After lunch we walk a few steps down the road to the Hamburg Schulmuseum.

This wonderful (free) museum documents school education for Hamburg boys and (separately) girls from the Kaiserzeit to the Weimar reform period, including all sorts of scientific apparatus, charts, maps and old desks. There is also a section about schooling under the propaganda dictates of the Nazi era.

To round out your St. Pauli excursion you may consider having an ice cream at Luicella or a quick photo stop at the fun neon Penny on the Reeperbahn around the corner!
