Details: Come learn more about MamaBaby Haiti
AWCH recently nominated MamaBaby Haiti for a FAWCO Development Grant, and it was awarded! They will receive $4,000 toward installation of solar panels. MamaBaby Haiti is a non-profit that runs three birth centers, mobile clinics, and a midwifery school in Haiti. They provide a safe place for Haitian families to receive compassionate and respectful care at the hands of skilled midwives. No one is turned away, and all services are entirely free. Haiti is enduring an extreme humanitarian crisis right now, so they need all the help we can provide. Any donations will go toward covering the full cost of solar-panel installation, so they can always have reliable electricity at their newest birth center, where the midwives often find themselves working in the dark!
