Filmfest HH Shadows of My Father October 3

Synopse

A semi-autobiographical drama about one day in Lagos during the election crisis in the early 1990s and the first Nigerian film to be shown in the official selection at Cannes. Lagos, 1993. In the course of presidential elections, Nigeria is hit by a political crisis. All over the country, there are violent clashes and right at the highpoint of the tensions the two brothers Remi and Akin travel to the capital for the first time to spend a day with their alienated father. He tries to bring himself and the two boys to safety before they suffer political consequences. And only when they get there do the brothers realize what burdens their father has taken on to take care of them.
