If you realize you're unable to attend an event, make sure to update your RSVP before the sign-up deadline, or else you may be asked to pay for the event in full unless a substitute is found. | Details:
We are starting another round of work on the Heart Pillow Project. We will be cutting out, sewing and stuffing pillows that will be donated to breast cancer patients at local hospitals. When placed under the arm, these pillows help alleviate pain due to surgery and other procedures. This is an open house event starting at 11:00 and ending at 17:00, so come when you can and stay as long as you can. If you enjoy being crafty in a group and need to get your charity fix, come join us on August 5th! Bring your sewing machines, needles, a snack or drink, and a smile. The AWCH has donated almost 1000 pillows to various hospitals in the Hamburg and Lübeck area. Help us continue this good work. |
