We find ourselves in the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California, for the performance of the Stray Kids group. This is part of The Stray Kids World Tour <dominATE>, which played once in Germany on July 15, 2025, in Frankfurt. Founded in 2017 as a boy group from South Korea, the eight members, present us with over thirty-six songs. Sometimes only two perform for a song. Stray Kids singers are supported by an excellent band, which is able to keep pace. There are sometimes up to over twenty-five background dancers, also adding to the excitement. All keep changing costumes. The Kids refer to their fans as STAY, which is what they are supposed to do over the 146 minutes. This audience of almost 100,000, with 80% female, sings along with perfect knowledge of the texts.
The boys have black hair and dark eyes. Felix, however, dyes his hair very blond and wears contact lenses which give him blue eyes. The film interrupts their performance for slight pauses as each member has the opportunity to speak on his own. They discuss their connections, expectations, and experiences in the group. Some started young; they learned from each other, always hoping to improve. There is pressure under all of this responsibility. They train harder and connect through the music. They are “ready to take over the world.” We learn nothing about their private lives, which is also a topic worth your while and available via online sites. So “go” to the performance, showing in Korean and English. (Becky T.)
