SUMMARY:Intro to Crochet
DESCRIPTION:\nAs part of the AWCH / Stitch 'n' Bitch effort to beautify St. Pauil this
spring, we are all busy crocheting and knitting so that we can yarn bomb th
e neighborhood, covering public areas with pink & white yarn art! If yo
u want to join the fun but need some help learning crochet, come to the Mar
ch 5 SnB meeting and we'll help you out! \nWhat: Introduction to crochet\nW
hen: Tuesday, March 5, 7:00 p.m.\nWho: AWCH members\nWhere: Contact Petra f
or the location\nContact: Petra, This email address is being protected from
spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. \nNext: We plan to host
another crochet session in the near future. Stay tuned for a date!\nAbout t
he project: This year, BID Reeperbahn aims to launch a campaign to beautify
St. Pauli, an endeavor we can accomplish together with joy. AWCH & Sti
tch 'n' Bitch are collaborating through Yarn Bombing/ Urban Knitting, aspir
ing to adorn the district with vibrant colors, illuminating it in a creativ
e and inclusive manner. We aim to beautify public spaces by adorning object
s like lampposts, signs, benches, or bollards with our handcrafted creation
s. Our plan is to install them just before Easter, possibly securing some w
ith zip ties. Additionally, in line with sustainability BID Reeperbahn+ wil
l encourage people to share their little St. Pauli souvenir if they take it
and let people know how far it travelled using a designated hashtag.\nThe
BID Reeperbahn+ was established by the IG St. Pauli after several years of
planning. Its objective is to enhance the globally renowned entertainment d
istrict of St. Pauli. The "Lieb Sein!" (Be Kind!) campaign was initiated by
BID Reeperbahn+ to further develop St. Pauli as an area of peaceful coexis
tence and freedom. The goal is to send a clear message against incidents of
racism, homophobia, and sexism, not only within Hamburg but also beyond it
s borders. \n\n
