DESCRIPTION: \n\nAWCH member, art historian Dr. Frances Livings, has generously offered
  to give us a tour of an exhibition focusing on the German artist Paul Klei
 nschmidt (1883-1949) at Ernst Barlach Haus. \nThe show focuses on Kleinschm
 idt’s “opulent metropolitan paintings” of the 1920s and 1930s based on his 
 experiences in Berlin, Amsterdam, southern France and New York City.\n Deem
 ed degenerate by the Nazis, Kleinschmidt was forbidden from painting and ma
 ny of his paintings were destroyed by a World War II bomb. After the tour w
 e will take a leisurely short walk through Jenisch Park to lunch at the res
 taurant Knips at the S-Bahn station Klein Flottbek.\n On our walk Frances w
 ill tell us a bit about the park and its history and art institutions, to w
 hich the Ernst Barlach Haus belongs.\n For those of you who would like to a
 ttend the Women’s Walk and Wine at 4 p.m. that day, there is a direct conne
 ction from Klein Flottbek on the S1 to Wellingsbüttel.\nCost:  7€ for group
  admission ticket. Please bring cash to the event.\nCancellation:  €10 fee
