age tour of the Ahrensburg Palace, erected sometime around 1585. \nThere is
currently also an exhibit in the palace museum of the work of North German
Impressionist Ernst Eitner, a founding member of the Hamburg Artists’ Club
in 1897. Though we won’t have a tour of that exhibit, it is included in th
e price of admission and there is a brochure available in English.\nThe eve
nt is scheduled for Sunday, October 23 at 1:00 p.m., and will cost €14. We
need 10 to 15 participants to make it happen.\n\nThere are various ways to
get to Ahrensburg, located just across the border from Hamburg in lovely Sc
hleswig-Holstein.\n1. Carol H. is looking to get a bicycling group together
.\n2. I will meet anyone who’d like to come by train on the platform at the
Ahrensburg station. It’s just about a 20-minute trip on the Regionalbahn f
rom Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, and a 15-minute walk from the Ahrensburg train st
ation to the palace. \n3. There is a (non-historically accurate) parking lo
