DESCRIPTION:\nThe Harbor Explorers will be taking a trip to the beach! We will start of
f with a ferry ride\nalong the Elbe, catch a glimpse of the historic ships
in the museum harbor of Övelgönne,\nand then stroll down to the popular bea
ch shack restaurant Strandperle for a bite to eat.\nHey, it’s summer!\nWe w
ill meet up at 11:00 on Wednesday, August 10 at the HVV ferry station\n(Lan
dungsbrücken Brücke 2 at the bottom of the ramp) for the #62 ferry in the d
irection of\nFinkenwerder. We’ll get on the ferry together and enjoy the pa
norama trip to\nMuseumshafen/Övelgönne, where a variety of former working s
hips from the harbor have\nbeen restored and are on view to the public.\nFr
om there we’ll walk over to the Strandperle to find some seats (it’s a popu
lar spot right\non the beach, so we may have to improvise). If it’s a rainy
day we’ll find a place to eat that\nis more sheltered - there are many alt
ernatives in this area.\nWe look forward to seeing you!\nCost: the HVV pric
