DESCRIPTION:Stop Violence Against Women and Chidren!AWCH stands behind initiatives to e
nd violence against women and children. The Laufend Gegen Gewalt charity ru
n is sponsored by the Hamburg Autonomous Women's Shelters. The goal is to r
aise money to support the residents of the women's shelters and to raise aw
areness of the ever increasing number of domestic violence in Hamburg and t
he world.\nThe autonomous Hamburg women's shelters offer help for those esc
aping violence at home. In addition to housing, the shelters offer women an
d children individual advice, support and perspective development for a lif
e without violence. This charity run is the sole fundraising event for the
Women's Shelters to cover extra expenses for sheltering the over 500 women
and children each year. \nJoin us to support their cause! Domestic violen
