\nCharity Run to Benefit the Hamburg Women’s Shelters\n\nThe American
Women's Club of Hamburg voted for the 5th Autonomous Hamburg Women's Shelte
r as the local charity to support for the next two years:
In the last 10 y
ears, the Hamburg Women's Shelters have provided over 7000 women and 5000
children protection against domestic violence.\nThe Hamburg women's shelter
s offer women and children individual advice, support and perspective devel
opment for a life without violence.\nDomestic violence must not be ignored,
tolerated or trivialized.
\nAWCH will support and participate in the 12th
annual charity run Laufend Gegen Gewalt (Race Against Violence). You can wa
lk, skip, hop, jog or run to help raise awareness and money for local women
's shelters.\nWe hope to involve many of our members, as well as their fami
ly and friends to show our support for the charity we have chosen.
