  Future
\n
Help Choose FAWCO's Target Project 2023-2025!
Every three years
FAWCO member clubs choose a new target project to support together and thu
s increase the impact.  Three projects within the category Environment have
been shortlisted for the 2023-2025 Target Project.\n
Please review the inf
ormation provided below and then cast your vote using the VOTE link at the
bottom.  FAWCO is offering a Zoom call on Feb.1 at 12:00 p.m. to learn more
about the different projects.  Register here (https://us02web.zoom.us/meet
 ing/register/tZckduygqzksEtGhJqIE-ulGzMRofsyVfZX3).\n\nDeadline to cast you
r vote: Monday, February 13, at 12:00 noon CET.\nOur FAWCO Rep will tally t
he ballots and the project receiving the most votes will get AWCH's vote.
The Target Project will be announced at FAWCO's Biennial Conference in Marc
 h.\n
\n
Project 1: Awesome Blossoms               \nOrganization: Safe Spac
 es\nLocation: Nairobi, Kenya\n
Edible Fresh Fields for Sustainable Life in
the Slums.\nAwesome Blossoms is the latest evolution of a community-based o
rganization, Safe Spaces, created by Mrs. Peninah Nthenya Musyimi. This pro
ject features an organic, water-efficient urban farm project for 75 women i
n partnership with three primary schools located in the Mathare slum area o
 f Nairobi.\nFor more information, see here (https://drive.google.com/file/d

\n
Project 2: Love for the Sea\
nOrganization: Caribbean Coral Restoration Center (CCRC)\nLocation: Solarte
Island, Bocas del Toro Archipelago, Panama\n
Empowering Indigenous Women T
hrough Coral Restoration.\nCCRC created its Love for the Sea project to res
tore the fragile coral ecosystem in the region by building an indoor seed b
ank and coral breeding laboratory and to foster economic empowerment by emp
loying the local indigenous Ngäbe people in its activities. A key feature o
f the project: constructing a new, indoor seed bank lab to replace the outd
oor breeding facility (vulnerable to damage during inclement weather), ther
eby dramatically increasing the capacity to raise coral seedlings for trans
plant. The organization depends upon a savvy mix of locally based staff and
volunteers.\nFor more information see here. (https://drive.google.com/file

\n
Project 3: Wing Womann Leba
 non (WWL)\nOrganization: Stand for Women (SfW)\nLocation: Lebanon\n
Stand f
or Women (SfW), through their project Wing Woman Lebanon (WWL), seeks to re
duce waste in Lebanese landfills and address (menstrual) period poverty by
producing and distributing affordable and reusable feminine hygiene pads as
well as reusable diapers to vulnerable families. A large part of their dis
tribution will take place during community training sessions.\nFor more inf
 ormation go here (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uX03enUis-rlROHS4BoOuWMG
