Rowing can be learned and enjoyed at any age. It is a sport that i s relatively easy on the joints. I started 10 years ago (in my mid 40's) an d can't think of anything I'd rather do, rain or shine, summer or winter. I 'd really like to share this with you. On Wednesday, May 25th the WSAP (Wat ersportabteilung Polizei) rowing club, will be hosting a learn to row sessi on. We will teach you the rowing stroke on the erg (rowing machine) and the n you'll learn the commands and the general anatomy of the boat. Finally yo u'll get to give it a whirl in one of our crew boats on the water. Hamburg has some the of most beautiful rowing water I've ever experienced. This wil l start at 6pm and go until approximately 9pm. Please bring "tightish" fitt ing sport clothing and sport shoes. You may use the showers afterwards, sho uld you choose. We don't expect you to end up in the water but having said that, you do need to know how to swim for this to be safe.\n The price for this event will be 15,- per person cash.
