Call for action: We are currently looking for a member to lead this group. It's a fun and easy job to take! You will receive the contact details of all members interested from our Membership Chairwoman and  go from there. Whatever you and the group agree on such as when and where and how often to meet is totally up to you. This is a great opportunity for a new member as well! Get to know the moms and kids of the club!

Meet other moms, young children and moms-to-be in English-speaking playgroups or join child-friendly activities around the city. If you have suggestions for events, play-dates or activities please feel free to contact your board members. We’re planning to meet on a regular basis if there are enough members interested in activities.

We encourage family-oriented activities and support several English-language playgroups. Our children’s playgroups offer the opportunity for children six months and up to play together in English. It is also a great place for Moms of all nationalities to socialize!

Although the AWCH has had many events through the years that are family-oriented, this category is planned to be available on a regular basis: about every month or so. Basically, we get together for activities as members and friends, the one stipulation being that children are always welcome. Some events are specifically geared to the younger crowd, such as the Easter Egg Hunt. Other outings to the zoo, wildpark, amusement park and train museum are great for adults, too. This is a nice way for mothers (and fathers) to chat and relax while the kids share language and social skills, too. Meeting times vary depending on activity.
