AWCH recently nominated MamaBaby Haiti for a FAW CO Development Grant, and it was awarded! They will receive $4,000 toward i nstallation of solar panels. MamaBaby Haiti is a non-profit that runs three birth centers, mobile clinics, and a midwifery school in Haiti. They provi de a safe place for Haitian families to receive compassionate and respectfu l care at the hands of skilled midwives. No one is turned away, and all ser vices are entirely free. Haiti is enduring an extreme humanitarian crisis right now, so they need all the help we can provide. Any donations will go toward covering the full cost of solar-pane l installation, so they can always have reliable electricity at their newes t birth center, where the midwives often find themselves working in the dar k!
