Working sessio n for members of the AWCH QuiltMakers.  We make Baby Quilts from upcyc led materials provided by Hanseatic Help.  The quilts are given to new parents in need, along with 67 other things they need for the baby’s first year, in a “HelloBaby!” bag.  These are the same HelloBaby! bags the AWCH supports through the FAWCO Development grant our club won.

To join our group, please first contact Andrea M (see contact info below)&n bsp;or via What’s App - we are in the AWCH What’s App Community.  You can learn to sew and quilt as part of this group - you do not need experien ce, just the desire and motivation to use crafting as a tool for good in th e world. (We also have fun and laugh a ton.)

We generally have t hree bees each month - two Fridays and one Thursday.  Depending on dem and, there is also a weekend option.  You can come to as many or few a s you wish, or even work entirely at home. The time listed is like an Open House.  You are not expected to stay the whole time, but you could.

If you have a sewing machine and can bring it, please do.  Th ere are also four machines available you can learn/work on.  All mater ials are provided.  Bring your favorite little scissors to snip thread s and a little something yummy to share.
