AWCH QuiltMakers. We make Baby Quilts from upcycled materials provide
d by Hanseatic Help. The quilts are given to new parents in need, alo
ng with 67 other things they need for the baby’s first year, in a “Hello Ba
by” bag. These are the same Hello Baby bags the AWCH supports through
the FAWCO Development grant our club just won.
To join our grou
p, first please contact Andrea M (see contact info below) or via What’
s App - we are in the AWCH What’s App Community. You can learn to sew
and quilt as part of this group - you do not need experience, just the des
ire and motivation to use crafting as a tool for good in the world. (We als
o have fun and laugh a ton.)
We generally have three bees each m
onth - two weekdays and one weekend day. You can come to as many or f
ew as you wish, or even work entirely at home. The time listed is like an O
pen House. You are not expected to stay the whole time, but you could

If you have a sewing machine and can bring it, please do.
; There are also four machines available you can learn/work on. All m
aterials are provided. Bring your favorite little scissors to snip th
reads and a little something yummy to share.
