On June 12th, about 15 club members with a couple of daughters in tow, dusted off their poshest shoes and headed to Streits to see Sex and the City. This fun evening was an event beyond simply watching a movie together. We gathered early for cocktails and fellowship and to celebrate our womanhood despite the soccer on the lounge’s televisions. The sheer absence of men in the cinema gave this film a special feeling. Even though the film was not Oscar worthy, we greatly enjoyed our evening and shared a few tears and many laughs. We even had our own Samantha look-alike, new member Isabell Nixon.
Thank you Karen Engelke for organizing this night out in the city!
