We encourage family-oriented activities and support several English-language playgroups. Our children’s playgroups offer the opportunity for children six months and up to play together in English. It is also a great place for Moms of all nationalities to socialize!
Although the AWC has had many events through the years that are family-oriented, this category is now available on a regular basis: about every month or so. Basically, we get together for activities as members and friends, the one stipulation being that children are always welcome. Some events are specifically geared to the younger crowd, such as the Easter Egg Hunt and Santa Christmas Party. Other outings to the zoo, wildpark, amusement park, kegelbahnen and train museum are great for adults, too. This is a nice way for mothers (and fathers) to chat and relax while the kids share language and social skills, too. Meeting times vary depending on activity. |
