At the monthly meetings of the Opera Club, we are discovering opera one masterwork at a time. We meet several times to get to know a selected opera and then attend a performance together. The Opera Club succumbed fully to the joys, romance, and tears of Puccini's masterpiece "La bohème" at the Staatsoper Hamburg in early December. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at a lovely performance, followed up by a llively late dinner at the Ristorante Opera.

What a great 2015/2016 opera season for the Opera Club! Our two projects, J. Strauss' "Die Fledermaus" in the autumn and Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin" in the winter/spring, never failed to delight us with incredible music and inspiration.
