The American Women’s Club would like to welcome new members of our club. Please join us to talk in your native language. We will explore together the question of change and transition and how to have more fun and contacts in Hamburg: we are very interested in meeting you! The coffee is informal and always takes place at Emilia J’s home. It has become a popular event in our club. The board pays a great deal of attention to the welcome coffee. People who have attended the welcome coffee have adjusted faster to Hamburg. Many have even become active members of our club and have been elected to the board. During the talks we have coffee, a special homemade Raffaelo welcome cake and a special menu to introduce you to a German breakfast and other surprises from our kitchen. Feel free to bring your favorite food. At the end of this coffee we hope you will leave with closer a connection to AWC members; more directions for support and information in case of need; first contacts and friendship. Emilia J is a middle aged woman, wife, mother, and doctor of biological sciences in international ecological studies. She moved here from Maryland with her family six years ago. The coffee is
every three or four months depending on the number of new members.
Please, check Currents for the next date. It is from 10 am-12
noon. Those which have no time during the day are welcome from 6-8
pm. Bring photos from your album, your children, family or close friends,
or just bring your smile and make yourself at home.
